This little bugger right here managed to almost give me a nervous break down. I took on waaayyyy more than I could handle this Christmas. What with Rarity and Rainbow Dash for those girls in Turkey and my OC and *Nazegoreng 's OC for that contest, I really should have figured that deciding to make a felt for Reddit's Secret Santa would have been a bad idea. But, I wanted to do something unique and fun, and a little more heartfelt than getting my giftee a couple of t shirts and chocolates (although I did end up getting her some of those). I eventually had to chose between finishing this Tarantula, or finishing the two ponies for Naz's contest. I chose the Tarantula, but apparently Karma kind of likes me because Naz extended the contest for five days, so I was able to finish my piece right on the wire as well.
Okay, end of rant. I chose to make a tarantula because the giftee said that she had two, and at the time I was given her profile she hadn't said a whole lot about herself. So I figured tarantula would be nice and safe gift wise. I have no idea how big this guy is, but he's a lot bigger than a normal tarantula. I kind of wanted him to be normal tarantula sized, so the giftee could leave it sitting out on the table or on the couch, and scare her house guests.
But he's actually kind of cute and cuddly, so he reminds me of the realistic but cute versions of animals you can get from zoos and museums. My email says it has shipped, so I hope that he got there all right. She hasn't sent me anything or confirmed that she got it, so here's hoping.
